If anyone has seen the movie 21 dont get any ideas about how much money is to be made. Casinos these days limit maximum bets to limit payoff for counters. You will not make millions and it will take a lot of time to make money. Also practice this method and know it like you know your name before trying anything. I will try to make this as simple as possible. Card counting is not illegal so if you get caught, get ready for an ass kicking or a simple ban from the casino.
This method is a very simple one but it works depending on the number of decks. A high number of decks is good.
First MEMORIZE this basic strategy then move on:
COUNTING PHASE I
There are 52 cards in a deck. Each of these cards has a value.

The cards 2,3,4,5,6 have a value of +1
The cards 7,8,9 have a value of 0
The cards 10,J,Q,K,A have a value of -1
To start counting take a deck of cards and flip one card over and take the count value. Flip another and add the 2 values. If you have an Ace and a 7 the count is -1. Keep doing this with more cards until the deck is done and the count is 0.
Examples of a string of counting:
A, 7, 5, 2, 4, K = 1
3, 6, 2, Q, 9, A, 5, J = 2
This count is called the "Running Count" because the desk is "running" as you count. Practice getting the running count so you can do it within 30 seconds a deck and so that its not obvious you are counting.
COUNTING PHASE II
At this point you should be able to count a deck through VERY FAST and without anyone knowing you are counting. For phase II start flipping 2 cards instead of one. Practice flipping 2 cards at once. One thing you definately need to practice is ignoring cancellations. If a K and a 2 come up they cancel so dont add and save yourself 2 additions. Before you move on to betting know how to count like the back of your hand. Flip deck after deck and keep the count the whole time. If there is some kind of blackjack game available near you go there and count but bet the minimum. Practice keeping your composure through out a game and do not act suspicious at all.
Betting Phase
You should now be able to keep the running count under all kinds of pressure. We now move on to betting.
To know how to bet you will need the "True Count". The true count is basically the running count divided by the number of decks.
